I don't know if this is the location to post this but I hadn't had any luck getting responses in the Perfected Doom 3 Mod thread so I'm posting this here with the hopes that maybe someone might know how I can fix this. I'm very familiar with editing monster health within the DEF file but one particular monster has had bugged health since yesterday.
In the first Hell map (hell1), you encounter the first Baron of Hell (remodeled Hellknight) where you would normally encounter your first Hellknight (the first wall which opens up). This particular Baron of Hell has 10000 HP even (I've tested it to find out how much it had). In the Baron of Hell's DEF file, it's health is set to 2000. If I spawn a Baron of Hell, it has 2000. Any other Baron of Hell I encounter within Hell has it's correct 2000 except this one. The Hellknight's health is set to 750 so I know the game isn't misreading it's health. The highest health I have set for any enemy in my DEF files is the Cyberdemon, which is only 7000, so I know the game isn't reading someone else's health value for the Baron of Hell. I've been editing health values over the last few months for just about every monster within the game and have never had this happen before. Is it possible something broke? Maybe I need to edit the health value elsewhere, like maybe the same way the item Backpack is edited to have certain values of ammunition on specific levels?
I've even tried loading the Hell map with both the Hellknight and Baron of Hell's DEF files missing from the DEF folder then reloading the map with them placed back in. I cannot seem to fix this one particular monster's health. If anyone has any idea how the hell I can fix this bug, please let me know.
