Hooray, I finally have an account now to post questions! I'm currently working on a mod and I've completed all but 2 of my guns, the BFG and Soulcube. I'm trying to figure out how I would go about coding to make a Lasergun out of the BFG. I have made it now where the BGF currently holds all of the Plasmaguns def and script information, but retains all of the BFGs attributes like skin, sounds, bullets, etc. Just fires like the Plasmagun. So far I have tried to copy that of the Grabber in ROE and use the beam_fx but I don't know how to even start that process. I would like if someone could steer me in the right direction with having a large beam effect shoot out of the BFG with continuous damage as long as you hold down the fire button and when the beam contacts any enemy or wall, it stops the beam from passing through them. I checked out some of the Flamethrower mods, but of the ones I have seen, they only fire a group of particle effects and not one concentrated beam. Any help would be appreciated!
