Hey, what the fuck is with that? Just tried it and it starts a download of "Filedroper File Extractor.exe". Is this site legit, ALien8ed? I removed the link. I guess I won't bookmark that site after all.

Still looking for a new file hoster I guess, if anyone knows....

Ok, I uploaded to a new site. You can grab it below and it's also edited into the first post. I tested the link and it works fine but if anything like what happened with Filedropper happens here, cease downloading and let me know. The file name should be "motionblur_test.rar". The size should be 1.16 MB or 1,189 KB or 1,217,516 B, so if you get a file different in name or size, just delete it. I am sorry for that and I hope you believe that it wasn't from my doing.

I will when I do a final release but I don't want to put these test files I do up at a site that is as public as those, if you understand me. I'd rather just keep it within the forum until it's done.

I appreciate that and I may take you up on the offer but, for now, I want to wait and see how this fileave.com place works out.

Hey Sikkpin, when I use these shaders I get a lot of messed up results. I'm using an ATI R3870X2 GPU so I'm sure that's the problem since most custom shaders have mixed results on my PC. I'm sure you're using an Nvidia GPU, but do you think you could make another set of these shaders optimized for us ATI users? I'm sure you'd need an ATI GPU to do this, but if you could that woul be great. These are just what I've been looking for to add to my ATI optimized shaders that add better bump mapping, specular mapping, and parallax mapping to Doom 3. These shaders would top them off.

The problems I'm getting with the bloom is a big blurry reflection of the weapon that I'm holding on the screen. The motion blur causes fractures and clipping problems when I move the view around.

try to turn of Catalyst AI. You'll see that that's the culprit. :)

I guess try what BloodRayne said as these shaders are not nVidia specific so they shouldn't conflict with ATI hardware at all.

It worked! I can't believe that was the problem this whole time. I feel like such an idiot. Thanks.

PS: Are these shaders free to use in mods as long as the developer gets credit?

One of the reasons why I threw my ATI out of the window. :)

I'd never throw my ATI out the window. It cost me over $500 and all I had to do was turn off a small feature to get this old game to work properly. I can keep up with the latest games with no problem.

These effects are awesome in Doom 3.

I had the 4870HD (brand new, came with the system) and had lots of problems in terms of compatibility and small bugs. e.g. changing the resolution in any game wouldn't work (it would go windowed and never go back to fullscreen in GOW and Crysis). Also, that 'feature' automatically turns on when you use Aero in Vista (or any other Direct 3d app).

The last, really frustrating thing, was that Windows was updating the drivers for this card automatically with every update, hence I was constantly going back to older driver versions instead of the latest versions which I was using from Ati, despite my best efforts to turn off that particular update.

In the end... I just tugged it out of my system and put it up for sale.
