Hi all!

I have just reinstalled q4, and I noticed, that if I install one of the later patches, the screen flashes (blinks) while loading, even in sp mode. Why is it? Everything is fine (8800gts 512 with latest drivers), just this annoying problem...In version 1.0 it is not presented.
How can I fix it?
Thanks

Location: Here, not there.
they have a seperate SP DLL & MP DLL< so it's technically loading up a "mod" for SP & mp.

Ok, I mean the screen blinks like a strobe while loading, it blinks one each time loads one element (one item etc.).

Hm, I've not seen it quite like that, but I'm wondering if you could be describing one of the side effects of the SMP support (which was not in the initial 1.0 release). In SP in particular there seems to be issues during map loading with SMP enabled. Try setting r_useSMP to 0 via the console (or disable the SMP option in the menu, which I think is under advanced settings or sth).

Hi!

It was turned off in my cfg. Anyway, I tried to turn it on ("1'), and it didn't work. Still blinking.
It's not a big problem, but dusturbing, and I know that's it's because a new feature, so maybe it's could be turned off...
This problem is only in my game???

Ok, now I know what You talk about: that in later versions they solved it with separate dll's, therefore if You start a mp game it changes the fs_game, like if You swithch between tasks. No, not it's my problem (it's also annoying, but now I know the reason why, You made me clear, and I looked forward it and found out it's really 2 different "mods" the sp and mp - and it cannot be turned off ;-)), while loading, the screen flashes slightly, as it loads the elements of the map. In mp You can see the items etc, and every time it loads something in, it blinks one. And ins sp too, but in sp You cannot see the items' icons, but it's still flashes.
