Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you have had any success with exporting models from maya to quake4 using the exportmodels command. I've been trying with no luck

Some infos are needed to clarify the situation:

- what version of Maya do you have?
- did you downloaded the correct MayaImportx86.dll file version?
- can you post a screenshot of your rig?
- can you post you .def code?

Hi, can you point me in the direction of a correct MayaImportx86.dll for maya 6.0 -> quake 4 (I have tried the version from the unpatched quake4 and the 1.4 patch as well as the doom3 dll). I don't think I need any troubleshooting I would just like to know if anyone has managed to do it before :)

Supposedly the .ma files are supposed to import into q4... or so says the IdSDK, but I've never gotten them to work. Tried Importing 'em for texture bumpmaps but the best result I got was a blank bumpmap.
I've been doing my models in maya and then exporting them via .fbx into 3dsmax, and then exporting again (in 3dsMax) as an .ase.
I suppose this doesn't help you if you dont have access to 3ds or some other modeling program, but it's the only way i've figured out.
