I decided to try something new and did two very simple but free iOS apps. I just thought I'd share for no other reason than sharing...
This I wrote as a website substitute with some fancy calculators for real estate valuation (given you know what you do).
iGrabowski
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/igrabowski/id503780414And this is a simplified way to convert the age of your pet into human years.
It's not like the world becomes a better place now, but hey - at least now there's an app for that

iPetYears
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ipetyears/id512960132Actually I'm surprised how popular iPetYears is.
So far I can say toying around with Xcode is fun and it's pretty fast and straightforward to launch a small app. I'll continue doing small things whenever I'm stuck on a long distance flight. It's kind of fun to get on an airplane and 12 hours later I have a working product ready to upload, even tho it's a tiny one.
I know there's like half a million and more apps out there, but I'm surprised how much room there still is for new stuff. I'll even go so far to say that a halfway creative person with a basic understanding of coding & design could still make a living out it.
Remember, between total failure and those Instagram-just-sold-for-a-billion is a lot of space to work with.
