I've been playing a lot of The Dark Mod along with Mount & Blade Warband lately and have been modeling a horse in my spare time.

At present I've reached the sculpting stage and believe this is the first piece of work I've produced in Blender that I'm genuinely proud of. That's really hard to accomplish as I'm very critical of my own work which explains why I rarely share anything I'm working on. I'm really loving the changes they've made in version 2.5 and I think that may be why I've come so far with this. It's really a joy to use.

At any rate, I've only begun sculpting the head but it's shaping up quite well...

I'll post more as I progress down the length of the body and then again as I do more passes. And yes I will share this when I complete it so you will all be able to use it in your mods.

Wow that looks pretty good. If it's finished, I'd love to use this inside Hexen:Edge of Chaos.
We could use horses looking like that. :)

You and your team are more than welcome to have it, when I've completed it.

@Friar

The model depicted in the picture above won't be animated. It's going to be the high polygon model I derive my normal map from.

The base mesh I started from is much closer to something practical for animation...

very good, looks Perfect to me, perfect detail & proportions.

When you texture it I wanna see black hair, red eyes, & smoke coming out of the nostrils, remember....keep it evil :D

I never had a version without the legs. I modeled it as one piece and it still isn't game ready. I've been busy with other things and haven't touched it for over a month now.
