 Post subject: a creative project

i just wanted to do something creative. something with very few colors, high contrasts.

this was created very quickly actually. all textures are costum made (8x8 pixels, different grey tones)+one universal specular.

i tried to just let the inspiration flow and built what comes to my mind. structures build up by that. you add one brush, think, hey, that brush would fit there and so on. dont think just let it flow.

i tried this here. so, take a look. comments are welcome and appreciated.

this was done in under 60 minutes.

Nice. Reminds me a lot of curved space by Der Komissar. For me, this was a ground breaking map of its day, truly original. This is the cel shaded and re-botmapped version of the original map for q3 Loki's Revenge.

I didn't think I'd see an abstract art map here. Remidns me of similar maps for the game Mirror's Edge.

But your map is different: it's not 100% abstract, it has concrete elements (railings, doorways). I've never seen anything like that before.
